Prof dr Patrick Van de Voorde is the congress chair for this second world congress on paediatric emergencies, so it is all his fault…
Patrick is clinical head and associate professor in emergency medicine at Ghent University Hospital. He chairs the Belgian Society of Emergency Medicine and the European Society of Emergency Pediatrics EUSEP, a branch of EUSEM. He is member of the executive committee of the Global Paediatric Readiness Network.
He has been invited speaker to many international congresses and was main organiser of the well-known PREM conferences in Ghent, Belgium. He was first author of the 2021 ERC guidelines on paediatric resuscitation.
